December Eco-Swim at Parkrose Pool w YMCA

The first of several Eco-Swim clinics at Parkrose Pool in east Portland, this event brings together YMCA families with WaterStrong volunteers of all ages. Huge appreciation to our youth volunteers, Harmony, Bea, Ollie, and Emma for jumping in! A giant welcome to new volunteer instructors Leslie, Emily, Tom, Elaine, and Beverly. And great appreciation to our Parkrose host Gary and longtime YMCA partners Mackenzie and Jennifer. This was a perfect event scenario: instructor-to-participant ratios were 1:1, allowing for excellent personal interactions with a keen eye on safety. We welcomed many new families and opened a few doors for additional programming this year. This was a terrific entry to 2023.
